The mission of the Special Services Department is to ensure that all students achieve. We work cooperatively with families, students, communities, colleagues and other professionals to identify and implement appropriate individualized programing for our students. We work hard to ensure that our students have the tools they need to be successful in their future endeavors.
Senate Bill 139 is intended to provide Texas families with information regarding the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA), Dyslexia, Multi-Tiered Systems of Support, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. It is required to post the below TEA-developed document to assist parents whose children may have been previously delayed or denied an evaluation under the IDEA in requesting compensatory services for their child. The document is linked below and in both English and Spanish.
