News, Press Release|

El Paso, Texas – (August 4, 2019) – In light of the horrific act of violence that took place in El Paso recently, Triumph Public High Schools Superintendent, Frances Berrones Johnson issued this statement:

We are in disbelief and all of us are mourning the lives of those affected by this tragic incident. As Triumph Public High Schools, we stand strongly behind the El Paso community. As a regional charter school system, we are one community standing side by side with the residents of El Paso, where two of our high schools serve numerous students in the area.

We must all support the community and keep El Paso in our prayers. Our priority is the safety and security of our students, faculty, administrators and their families.

I ask that all of us be more vigilant of any suspicious activity that you may encounter and report it to our administrators, teachers, and authorities immediately. We can support one another by quickly communicating what we see and hear to the appropriate individuals.

Together, we can overcome these horrid and appalling acts of violence that are affecting our country and our own communities.

Triumph Public High Schools serves the El Paso community with two schools – El Paso East (1599 George Dieter Dr.) and El Paso West (711 N. Mesa). They also have schools in Laredo, McAllen, Mercedes, San Benito, Brownsville, and Lubbock. For more information, visit www.triumphpublicschools.org
